Finally got a chance to look at the new search page and it works fine for me and looks good! Oresumably you fixed some of the issues earlier posters mentioned. In particular, I did not notice any sluggishness as the opacity changes.

My only comment is that when the auto-complete dropdown appears, as you move the cursor over the dropdown, it changes to the I-bar rather than staying as a pointer. This might confuse folks a bit but I don't know how much control you have over that and I didn't check the coding to see if I could say anything more helpful.

Yes, I reduced the fade time, so even when area to fade is large, it will not appear so sluggish. It is also possible that the problem would only exhibit under Linux but not under Windows.

As for the mouse pointer detail, good point, I did not notice that. I have just fixed the menu CSS class to reset to the default pointer when the mouse is under the menu. Thank you for the notice.
